"I love my new smile. I am a fashion model and have always smiled a lot. When I came to Dr. Nolan I had crowns that I did not like. I had been to at least five other dentists before I decided on Dr. Nolan. I had my front teeth done several other times at other dentists and I was very unhappy. Before I had my teeth done, I was very self-conscious of how I would smile in photos. Wow, what a difference! Now, I never even think about my smile when I am having a photo session. I also had the laser recontouring to make my teeth look longer. I constantly get comments all day long about how beautiful my smile is. My new smile is so natural that it is difficult for me and my family to remember how bad my smile looked before."
Nina came to us after having been to several other dentists for treatment. She noticed that something did not look right about her smile and came to us with old crowns. She also showed a lot of gum tissue and inflammation of her gums when she smiled. She had a gummy smile. She was hesitant to try to improve her smile because her experience was that the results were poor. We placed all porcelain "ceramic crowns" on her four front teeth after performing some laser sculpting of the gum tissue to help create her new smile. Laser sculpting was used to eliminate the "gummy smile" and make her teeth look longer along with a more natural smile. The result is a very natural and aesthetic smile. A smile makeover can make you look younger, feel better & increase your attractiveness. The final result shows a beautiful natural smile where the teeth are in harmony with the rest of her face. The color of the porcelain crowns matches the rest of her teeth perfectly, and have a natural color and texture. You would never know that she has porcelain crowns on her four upper front teeth. Combined with Nina's naturally beautiful lips, she came out with a ravishing smile. She now smiles in all her photos and just loves her new look.
"I am so happy with my new smile. I had a large space between my two front teeth that had been bonded several times. Dr. Nolan suggested that I place porcelain veneers on my four front teeth instead of bonding just the two front teeth. It has been the best gift I have ever given myself. Everyone noticed an improvement right away, but couldnt put their finger on it. I never realized how much of a difference a nice smile makes. The attention given by Dr. Nolan and his staff, along with the atmosphere at the office made the experience comfortable and relaxing. I actually had fun at my appointments. He really does cater to the "dental chicken"."
Cathy, a prominent businesswoman, had a very large space between her front teeth. She was very conscious of her smile. She wanted to close the big space between her front teeth. Often times she would cover her mouth when she was speaking. She decided braces were not an option at this point of her life because she did not want to wear braces a year or longer. If the large gap were closed with only bonding on the two front teeth, it would have left her with two very large front teeth. Porcelain veneers were placed on the four front teeth. With the gap between her front teeth closed, her smile is much more natural and pleasant to see. The patient was amazed at how quick and simple this transformation was to perform. She suddenly loved her own smile and became very motivated to take extra special care of her teeth.
Jeannie came to us as a student from a local college with her front tooth chipped. She was going to be graduating in a few days. I saw her on an emergency visit basis. She was very scared to go to the dentist.
We saw her and in one appointment placed a composite bonded porcelain filling to repair the problem. Our microabrasion system was used. It does not use a drill and no anesthetic was needed. The entire appointment took about thirty minutes, and she left with a great big smile on her face.
John Eugene is another person who had not been to the dentist for about seven years. He is in sales and self-employed. His wife had been coming to our office for over 12 years. he had no pain when he came to our office but just wanted to have a nice looking smile. John was very tense and nervous when he came to the dentist. He had not had good experiences going to the dentist. John and I discussed doing his treatment in two phases. The first phase was to redo the entire upper arch. The second phase would be to do the lower arch.
On his first visit to our office impressions were taken to fabricate custom temporaries of the full upper arch. In this way a lot of chair time would be saved when he came in to have the treatment started. Two weeks later John came back and spent the day with us. We sedated him and prepared all the upper teeth for new crowns and bridges in one appointment. When he left our office that day John had a complete new set of crowns and bridges which were temporary. At this same visit all periodontal work was completed. the temporaries looked better that the dental work that he had when he first came to our office. John was to live with the temporaries for one month to make sure that he liked the way they looked and felt.
On the next visit the final impressions were taken for the permanent teeth. Several weeks later John came back to our office and his new teeth were ready to try in. This was a two hour appointment to make sure everything fit perfectly before permanently cementing all the teeth. Finally, John came back in another two weeks and the permanent teeth were ready to cement. The entire process to complete the upper teeth took four appointments. Each appointment took considerable less time.
By the time John came in for the final appointment he did not need to be sedated. John had overcome most of his dental fear. He trusted us enough and felt comfortable.
Now, John has a beautiful, natural looking set of teeth on the upper arch. He is looking forward to completing the lower arch very soon. Everything was not done at the same time for financial reasons.
